Maxx Fitness
The Maxx Fitness training team of Tracy and Dave McCormack bring their vast experience in teaching, coaching and training athletes to the South Shore Stingrays. Tracy and Dave, a husband and wife team from Plymouth, with three children (Hannah 7, Sarah 5 and Brett 3), are joining the JunglePlex team to offer sport teams and individuals group specific training. The team training will focus on creating efficient movers through specific training that will help athletes to improve their speed, agility, power and balance. The individual programs will concentrate on a boot camp style workout for those individuals trying to find a fun group-run, different type of exercise regiment that gets away from going to the gym and running on a treadmill or using strength equipment, and utilizes your own body weight and some simple equipment to give you an incredible workout.
Tracy brings with her a passion for fitness that is unrivaled. As an athlete herself in high school, she got into the fitness scene early and has been involved in training since her days at Oliver Ames High School in Easton. She then went on to Springfield College where she earned her BS in Health Education while concentrating on Health Fitness. She taught Health Education and Physical Education for 6 years before leaving to start her family. During that time she has started the Maxx Fitness personal training business, getting her Certification through ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), the most respected certification in the industry. Her training business is thriving in the gym and she is expanding to incorporate more group training through team training and boot camps. Tracy emphasizes goal setting and striving to meet them through hard work and pushing your body to its limits in her training sessions. Her personal goal setting and hard work led her to compete and win the first fitness competition she ever competed in. She is also awaiting a call from "The Biggest Loser" where she is hoping to be the next trainer on the hit show.
David brings with him an extensive background in teaching and coaching. Dave is a Certified Personal Trainer through ACE (American Council on Exercise) and a Certified Youth Conditioning Specialist through the IYCA (International Youth Conditioning Association) who incorporates a strong knowledge base and emphasis on proper technique and form into the training sessions. Dave earned his BS in Physical Education from Bridgewater State College and his M.Ed from Springfield College. He has 15 years of teaching experience at every level from Kindergarten through College and also has 15 years of coaching experience covering every level from High School Freshmen to College Varsity.
The Maxx Fitness team offers a comprehensive training session through Tracy's high energy, motivational, and demanding approach coupled with Dave's knowledge-based, technically sound mechanics approach. Combining the two styles creates a unique opportunity for athletes to learn to be efficient movers and why they need to train their muscles, through specific movements, to react a certain way, all while being involved in a high energy, fun yet demanding environment.
